'Introduction to Mark Making & Momigami' 09/10/26
This workshop is a relaxing mindful exploration of shapes, lines, patterns and textures. We explore how using a range of mark making techniques helps you to create a looser, more expressive way to record the world around you.
Maria will show you how to experiment with a wide range of materials and low tech printing methods to create a concertina book and Journal pages to take home and use as a reference for future exploration.
You will also explore Momigami a traditional Japanese technique of kneading, crumpling, and manipulating paper to break down its fibers, transforming it into a soft, flexible, fabric-like material which can be used for collage, bookbinding and sewing.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and those with a little more experience.
