‘Hairst’
This atmospheric picture is created using blended Shetland wool lightly felted with dried seed heads hand sewn into place, giving the picture its unique textured effect. The frame has a protruding sill at the bottom, which when hung on the wall gives the illusion of looking through an open window.
‘Hairst’ is Shetlandic for autumn.
