A creative and fun workshop for beginners and those with printmaking experience. 

With plenty of guidance from artist and printmaker, Sherry Rea, you will use simple printmaking techniques and a printmaking press. You will be shown how to make miniprints from simple designs by cutting gently into card (a laminated drypoint card), and then how to transfer the colourful, inked design to paper with the press. The techniques are quick, easy adaptions of collagraph, monoprint and drypoint methods that Sherry uses in combination in her own work. 

Artist’s quality inks/papers included. No drawing skills necessary as we can use simple shapes/ stencils. There will be plenty of inspiration and resources available in the workshop. The art that you create to take home could be abstract or illustrative, funky or traditional, and expressive or graphic! Miniprints will be approx A7 to A6 in size. 

Sherry creates her artwork in her studio in Elsworth, surrounded by inspirational fields, flowers, trees, birds and her chickens! She tutors biology and has a passion for biodiversity.
