Next Steps in Lino Printing – workshop 2

We are pleased to be able to offer a follow-on course to our introduction to lino printing. Your tutor, Hilary Marshall, will take you a stage further in your journey, enabling you to: hone your carving skills, register printing plates for accurate positioning and learn about the pros and pitfalls of multiple plate printing. Step by step, Hilary will guide you through the process during which you will make two colour cards similar to the example shown in the photo. There will be time at the end of the day to work on ideas for original designs and future projects of your own, with Hilary on hand to chat things through. All equipment and materials are provided but if you have your own set of lino tools you might like to bring them along… and don’t forget your packed lunch!

Important:As the focus will be on the multi-layer printing process it is strongly recommended that you have some basic knowledge of lino printing for this workshop. If you have been on our introductory course or something similar that is ideal. Please get in touch if you are not sure.

There will be a short break for lunch so please bring a packed lunch.
