Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just fancy giving plein air painting a try, relax with us and capture a moment in time at the idyllic setting of the Norman ‘Manor House’ and its stunning gardens in Hemingford Grey, Cambridgeshire.

A great opportunity to connect with fellow artists and share creative ideas, our plein air event is on Sunday 7th June 2026 between 10am and 4pm.  You can stay for a few hours or stay all day it’s up to you, theres no pressure just an opportunity to enjoy creativity, in real time, outdoors.

Entry is just £20 which includes free access to the grounds of the Manor House and its rest room facilities. Free Parking will be provided on the day for participants at The Lodge a short walk away and there will be a drop off point for equipment etc at the Manor House, full details will be sent on registration for the event.

There will be a competition for work created on the day, if you wish to enter, artwork must be registered with the check in desk by 3.30pm artwork will be judged at 4pm Completed art works will be exhibited in our online Gallery by 8pm on the day.  All works will be photographed and exhibited online at artatone.com for the remaining week of Hemingford Arts Week.

Prizes will be awarded for winners of the professional and amateur categories and a people’s choice winner voted for by the public. These will be presented at The HAW Gala Ceilidh on Saturday 13th June at Hemingford Abbots village hall.

The event is open to any artist professional or amateur over the age of 16 using any medium.

The grounds will open from 10am – 4pm, you can set up early, paint all day long or just come in for a few hours.  All pictures entered for the competition must be original and created on the day.

This event is entirely outside so you will need to bring appropriate clothing, shelter, shade, sun protection etc light refreshments will be available but we suggest you bring food and drink to keep you going. The event will be held rain or shine so come prepared for all weathers!  In the event of extreme weather, we will reschedule. Participants will need to bring their own art supplies nothing is provided at the venue.
